Asahi-Seiki Manufacturing, Co., Ltd. founded in 1953 is headquartered in Owariasahi City, Aichi Prefecture. It manufactures precision metal products, press machines, spring forming machines, aircraft parts, etc. 

 In particular, the company demonstrates its fabulous processing and quality control technology in manufacturing products for the aerospace-related industry whose development is extremely remarkable in the Chubu region. 

 Asahi-Seiki Manufacturing has been providing products for passenger aircrafts, helicopters, space rockets, etc. which require extreme high accuracy and durability for parts used in. As for the financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2020, sales decreased 3.2% to 13,941 million yen from the previous year, operating income decreased 48.8% to 288 million yen, net income fell 47.1% to 404 million yen, due to decreasing orders for automobile-related parts and increasing costs for R & D and exhibition events.

 As for the outlook for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2021, the company expects operating income to decrease 76.6% from previous year to 70 million yen and net income to decrease 86% to 60 million yen. 

 In spite of recent difficult conditions, Asahi-Seiki Manufacturing keeps extremely solid financial base, allowing the company enough room to invest in new businesses for further expansion.

COVID-19 cases rise in Japan amid state of emergency, Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics to be downsized The Japanese government has decided to add three prefectures to its state of emergency as coronavirus cases continue to rise.   Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said on May 14 that he decided to expand a COVID-19 state of emergency covering Tokyo and other areas to three more prefectures as infections continue to surge ahead of the Summer Olympics.  Starting on May 15, it will cover Hokkaido, Okayama and Hiroshima in an effort to curb infections and ease the strain on medical systems.
